There's a trailer up for the Ian Curtis biopic "Control." Anybody who knows the story of Joy Division knows it's gonna be a tough movie to watch, but the trailer is really, really great.
Sam Riley, who plays Curtis, looks an awful lot like him. Interestingly, he previously played Mark E. Smith, lead singer of The Fall, in the semi-fictional 24 Hour Party People, a movie that also prominently featured the rise and fall of Joy Division.

Damn, I've seen the YouTube version of this, but the higher resolution makes it look even better.
I am soooo excited for this movie, in fact, I don't know if I've ever been this excited about seeing a movie.
It's suppose to premiere here on Oct 10 at the Film Forum. Of course, that's the same night that PJ Harvey is playing, grrr.
BTW the film is based on the book "Touching from a Distance" written by Deborah Curtis. Ian's wife. The book is very good, more reason I'm very excited for the movie.
